KamasTrade or D2Gate: which kamas marketplace should you choose?
D2Gate is the long-standing reference for putting Dofus players in touch, and a good part of what KamasTrade does is directly inspired by it. The difference is therefore not about the principle — in both cases players sell to other players — but about what the platform keeps of the exchange.
D2Gate
- A very well-stocked seller directory, built over several years.
- A volume of listings and a depth of catalogue that a recent marketplace does not have.
- An established community, with its habits and its known sellers.
KamasTrade
- Six timestamped steps per transaction, which neither buyer nor seller can rewrite.
- Internal messaging: the exchange counts as evidence in a dispute, which a private conversation elsewhere does not.
- Seller statistics that are computed, never self-declared — number of transactions, rating, completion rate, delivery time.
- Off-site contact details refused, enforced in the database and not only in the forms.
When D2Gate is still the better choice
If you want the widest choice of sellers on a specific server, a marketplace established for years will mechanically have more of them than a recent one. KamasTrade is still being built; on that particular point seniority works against us, and saying so costs nothing.
Frequently asked questions
Are the prices different?
Prices are set by sellers, not by the platform. They therefore follow the same market on both sides, and vary mostly by server and by moment. Comparing two or three listings remains the only reliable way to know.
Can you use both?
Nothing stops you, and many sellers do. Publishing a listing is free here, which costs nothing to someone already established elsewhere.
