Frequently asked questions
What people ask us before buying or selling kamas. The answers are deliberately blunt, including when they do not favour us: a marketplace that only talks about its own strengths has not earned anyone’s money.
Is buying kamas allowed?
Ankama’s terms of use forbid exchanging in-game currency for real money. The practice exists anyway, on a massive scale, and has done for twenty years. KamasTrade puts players in touch and does not sell kamas itself: we cannot promise you that Ankama approves, because it does not. What we can do is make the exchange traceable between the two people involved.
Could I get banned?
The risk is never zero and nobody honest will tell you otherwise. It depends above all on how the kamas change hands: a direct trade between two characters, for an amount consistent with your level of play, draws far less attention than a bulk delivery from a character created that same day. Sellers who last know this — it is one of the things their public reputation reflects.
How much does a million kamas cost?
The price varies a lot from one server to another and from one week to the next: a new or heavily populated server does not trade at the same rate as a long-established one. Each server page shows the lowest price seen among the live listings, updated continuously. Comparing two or three sellers before committing usually saves a few cents per million.
How do I know a seller is trustworthy?
Look at three figures, all public and all computed from transactions actually completed here: the number of transactions, the average rating and the completion rate. A seller who refuses the site messaging and offers to continue elsewhere is really asking you to give up the timestamped history and any recourse if a dispute is opened. It is the most reliable warning sign there is.
What happens if the seller does not deliver?
You open a dispute from the transaction, at any point up to seven days after it closes. The transaction is frozen and a moderator reads the whole exchange: every step is timestamped and neither party can rewrite it. If the seller had put up a deposit, it is the basis for compensation. To be clear: that compensation is settled by moderation, it is not automatic.
Who takes the payment?
The seller, directly. KamasTrade is neither seller, nor buyer, nor custodian of the funds: we neither hold nor transfer any money. You pay by whatever means you agreed on — PayPal, bank transfer, Lydia, Revolut, crypto — and you declare the payment on the transaction page, which timestamps it.
Does selling my kamas cost anything?
Publishing listings and selling is free. The paid plans only let you publish more listings at once and gain visibility; they take no commission on your sales. Buying, chatting and leaving a review are free and unlimited, forever.
Which games and which servers?
Dofus, Dofus Retro, Dofus Touch and Wakfu, across all of their servers. Each server has its own page, with its listings, its lowest price and its sellers online. Trading between servers — kamas for kamas, no money involved — is also possible, to follow friends onto another server.
How long does a delivery take?
Each seller states their response time and it appears on their listing. In practice most exchanges close in under an hour when both people are online at the same time. The green dot on a listing marks a seller active in the last five minutes, and a filter shows only those.
Do I need an account to check prices?
No. Prices, servers, seller profiles and reviews are visible without signing up. An account becomes necessary to open a transaction or publish a listing, and email confirmation is asked for at that point: it is what lets the person on the other side know who they are dealing with.
Can I also find dungeon runs or packs?
Yes, in the Services section, organised by server: dungeon runs with the achievements you want (Duo, Statue, Versatile…), profession packs, breeding, ochre, dreams and powerleveling, offered by other players. You can message the provider before ordering; when you order, you give your in-game name and your characters. Kamas remain the core of the site: services are an extra for the same players.
How do I pay for a dungeon run or a pack?
In kamas, in euros, or either, depending on what the provider states on their offer; for euros, their accepted methods (PayPal, Paysafecard, bank transfer…) are shown. As with kamas, payment is made directly between players: KamasTrade does not collect it. Once the service is done, you leave a review, which counts towards the provider’s rating.
