Terms of use

Article 1 — Purpose

KamasTrade (“the Platform”) is a service that puts players in touch with each other to buy, sell or trade virtual in-game currency (“kamas”).

The Platform is neither a seller, nor a buyer, nor a custodian of funds. It neither holds nor transfers any money between members. Payments are made directly between members, by whichever methods they choose.

Article 2 — Registration and account

Registration is free and open to natural persons of full age, or to minors with the authorisation of their legal representative.

Each member is responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from their account. A member may hold only one account.

The chosen username is public. It must not be abusive, impersonate a third party or promote a competing service.

Article 3 — Listings

Each member is solely responsible for the content and accuracy of their listings: price, stock, accepted payment methods and stated response time.

A member who publishes a listing undertakes to actually hold the kamas offered and to honour the requests they accept.

The Platform may hide or remove any listing that is manifestly fraudulent, misleading or contrary to these terms.

Article 4 — Transactions

A transaction begins when the seller accepts a buyer’s request. It follows the six steps described in the Help section.

Members undertake to confirm a step only once it has actually been carried out. Any false declaration is a serious breach.

Exchanges relating to a transaction must take place in the on-site messaging. Only those exchanges can be relied upon in a dispute.

Article 5 — Deposit and buyer protection

A seller may put up a deposit. Listings covered by that deposit display the “Secured” badge.

Where a dispute is settled in the buyer’s favour, the buyer is compensated from the seller’s deposit, up to the amount deposited and the amount of the transaction concerned.

The deposit is returned to the seller on request, provided no dispute is under way.

Article 6 — Reviews and reputation

A review may only be left once a transaction is closed, once per transaction and per member.

Reviews must concern how the transaction went. Abusive, defamatory or unrelated content may be removed.

Trading, buying or making a review conditional is prohibited.

Article 7 — Disputes

A dispute may be opened by either party during the transaction and up to 7 days after it is closed.

Moderation decides on the basis of the transaction’s full history. Its decision is notified to both parties and reasoned.

A moderation decision is an internal measure of the Platform and deprives no party of their rights before the competent courts.

Article 8 — Sanctions

In the event of a breach, the Platform may warn the member, hide their listings, restrict their access or suspend their account for good.

Serious breaches include in particular: deliberate non-delivery, false declaration of a step, impersonation, multiple accounts and manipulation of reviews.

Article 9 — Liability

The Platform provides a technical framework for putting members in touch. It is not a party to the contracts concluded between members and guarantees neither the proper performance of transactions nor the quality of the virtual goods exchanged.

Exchanging virtual currency for real money may breach the game publisher’s terms of use and expose a game account to a sanction. Each member acts under their own responsibility.

KamasTrade is an independent platform, with no link to or affiliation with the publishers of the games concerned. The game names and trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners.

Article 10 — Changes to the terms

These terms may be amended. Members are informed of any substantial change, which takes effect upon publication.
