Dungeon runs on Dofus: the guide before you order

4 min read

A run is a more advanced player taking you into a dungeon and handling the fight so you clear it. It unlocks a quest, a key, a Dofus or a hard achievement without assembling a whole group. It is a long-standing practice, safe for your account, as long as you know exactly what you are buying.

What a dungeon run is

Your character joins the provider’s group, enters the dungeon with them, takes part in the fights and clears the dungeon like any other member. You stay logged in and play yourself. The provider brings the power and the knowledge of the fight.

It is the same as playing with a stronger friend, except that the service is agreed in advance and paid in kamas.

Why order a run

Clearing a dungeon often unlocks far more than its loot. The most common reasons:

  • Opening what comes next: some dungeons open others. Count Harebourg, for example, requires beating the four bosses of Frigost III, covered in our guide to the Frigost dungeons.
  • Advancing a quest: several Dofus quests require beating a specific boss. Our list of Dofus shows which ones go through dungeons.
  • Earning an achievement: achievements under constraint bring achievement points and rewards, but need a practised team.
  • Getting resources: boss resources feed recipes, sets and keys.

Dungeon achievements, explained

Each dungeon offers several achievements: finishing it, but also finishing it under a constraint. As a rule, each dungeon offers two standard challenges, a reduced-team achievement (Duo, Trio or Quartet depending on the dungeon) and a special achievement tied to its boss’s mechanic. The harder the constraint, the longer the run takes and the more it costs.

Achievement or challengeWhat you must do
VictoryClear the dungeon, with no constraint.
Duo (or Trio, Quartet)Beat the boss with at most two characters (three or four depending on the dungeon).
StatueEach character ends their turn on the cell where they started it.
VersatileNever use the same action twice in the same turn.
BarbarianFinish enemies off with a weapon.
Hardi (bold)End every turn next to an enemy.
ZombieUse exactly one movement point per turn.
BlitzkriegAn attacked enemy must die before its own turn starts.
First, LastKill a designated monster first, or last.

Getting in: keys and the key ring

Most dungeons require a key. It is crafted, often by a handyman from resources dropped by the area’s monsters, or bought at the marketplace. Some dungeons also require a quest step or victories over other bosses.

The key ring (Trousseau de clés), which every character has, opens almost every dungeon for free, once a week for each. It does not replace any quest items a dungeon may require.

Tip : Before ordering, check whether your key ring is available for that dungeon: if not, agree with the provider on who supplies the key, as it is an extra cost.

How a run goes, step by step

A well-organised run always follows the same pattern:

  1. 1Pick an offer for the right dungeon, on the right server, with the number of characters to take through.
  2. 2Check the provider’s profile: account age, services completed, reviews from their customers.
  3. 3Write down in the order’s messages what is included: achievements, key, number of characters, time slot.
  4. 4Pay the first instalment, then join the provider’s group in game.
  5. 5Play the fight with them, following their positioning instructions.
  6. 6Once the dungeon is cleared on your character, pay the rest and leave a review.

What sets the price

Offers are most often priced per character, in kamas. Compare like with like: a simple run and an all-achievements run are not comparable.

FactorEffect on price
The dungeonA high-level dungeon or a complex mechanic costs more.
Number of charactersEach extra character makes the fight harder.
Achievements requestedDuo and challenges add time and risk of failure.
The keySupplied by you or by the provider: state which.
The serverPrice levels follow each server’s economy.

Paying without taking risks

Pay in instalments: part before going in, the rest once the dungeon is cleared. The order’s messages serve as proof in a disagreement; that is why you should write down what is included, and what happens on failure.

On KamasTrade, dungeon runs are offered by players whose profile and reviews are visible before you order.

Watch out : A run never needs your credentials. An offer to “play your account for you” breaks Ankama’s terms and exposes your account to theft.

Frequently asked questions

Are dungeon runs allowed on Dofus?

Playing in a group with another player is part of the game. What is forbidden and dangerous is lending your account: an honest run never needs it.

How long does a dungeon run take?

The length of the dungeon, plus meeting up. Achievements under constraint take longer. Agree on a time slot with the provider in the messages.

Do I need the dungeon key?

You need a key or the key ring, available once a week per dungeon. State before ordering who supplies the key.

What is the Duo achievement in Dofus?

It means ending the fight with at most two characters. It is harder than a plain clear, so a Duo run usually costs more.

Can several characters be taken through at once?

Yes, within the group size limit. The price is most often calculated per character.

What if the run fails?

Agree in advance on what happens on failure: another try or a refund of the instalment. If you disagree, open a dispute: the order’s conversation serves as proof.
