Dofus Retro kamas: the server economy, and how to earn, buy or sell your kamas
5 min read
Dofus Retro brings back version 1.29 of Dofus, with its own servers and its own currency. Its kamas are worthless on Dofus 3, and their price varies a lot from one server to the next, especially between permanent and seasonal servers. Here is how the economy works, how to earn kamas, and how to buy or sell them without mistakes.

Dofus Retro: an economy of its own
Dofus Retro is the classic version of Dofus, 1.29, relaunched by Ankama with its own client. It is a separate game from Dofus 3: characters, items and kamas do not move from one to the other.
The pace is slower than in the current version. Items are crafted and lost, resources are used up in recipes, and many players come back for this harsher economy. As a result, a kama on Retro has a value of its own, unrelated to Dofus kamas.
Watch out : Buying Dofus kamas while meaning to play Retro (or the other way round) is the most common mistake. Our guide Dofus, Unity, Retro, Touch explains how to pick the right game.
The permanent servers
After several waves of merges, Dofus Retro has three permanent servers. Each has its own market, prices and pace.
| Server | Rule | Formed from | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fallanster | Multi-account | Eratz and Henual | The oldest heritage, a long-established economy. |
| Allisteria | Multi-account | Crail and Galgarion | Established economy, a common multi-account choice. |
| Boune | Single-account | Former single-account servers | Only one account in game at a time: farming is slower. |
Tip : Was your character on Eratz, Henual, Crail or Galgarion? It was moved during the merges: give Fallanster or Allisteria during a trade today.
Seasonal and temporary servers
Ankama regularly opens temporary servers on Dofus Retro. In spring 2026 a new season started: everyone starts from scratch, for an announced duration of about three months, with slightly different rules from the classic servers.
This season’s novelty is scales: temporary items that go in the slots usually reserved for Dofus and grant bonuses. They come from achievement objectives or from certain monsters, and only exist on seasonal servers.
For the economy, a season changes everything. At launch nobody has kamas: the first resources sell very high, then prices drop as players gear up. Kamas on a seasonal server are spent on that server, not on the permanent ones.
Watch out : What happens to characters and kamas at the end of a season depends on the rules Ankama announces for each season. Read them before buying or selling large amounts on a temporary server.
Earning kamas on Dofus Retro
On Retro there is no shortcut: kamas come from what you produce and sell. The classic methods remain the most reliable.
- Gathering professions: lumberjack, miner, farmer, alchemist or fisherman supply resources crafters use up constantly.
- Selling loot: monster resources and dungeon drops find buyers, especially from high-level zones.
- Crafting: making wanted items turns cheap resources into gear that sells for more, provided you know the prices.
- Breeding: raising mounts takes time and organisation, but many players are interested.
Tip : Our guide on how to earn kamas covers these methods. The logic is the same on Retro; only prices and pace change.
The market: marketplaces and player trading
The marketplaces of the main cities remain the heart of trade. Since an update at the end of 2023, Bonta, Brakmar and Astrub share the same listings, with Astrub still limited to low-level items. Comparing prices is therefore easier than before.
Direct trading between players still matters a lot on Retro: ads on the trade channel, negotiated trades, sales in merchant mode. As everywhere, compare before buying, count the listing tax in your margin and re-read every price before confirming.
Buying Dofus Retro kamas from other players
Buying kamas from another player lets you catch up on gear or fund a profession without weeks of farming. On KamasTrade, every listing states its game and server: choose Dofus Retro, then your server, and compare sellers. All offers are on the buy Dofus Retro kamas page.
- 1Check the exact name of your server, permanent or seasonal.
- 2Look at the Dofus Retro kamas price to know what a million is worth on that server.
- 3Choose a well-rated seller and read their delivery terms.
- 4Give the exact name of the character receiving the kamas and agree on a meeting spot in game.
- 5Check the amount in the trade window before confirming.
Watch out : Never give your account login, and refuse any payment outside the platform. Serious delivery always happens through an in-game trade.
Selling your Dofus Retro kamas
Have more kamas than you need, or leaving a seasonal server? You can sell them to other players. The price depends on the server and the moment: on a season that has just opened, demand is strong; at the end of a season, it falls.
Only deliver to an identified buyer, through an in-game trade, and keep a record of the transaction. Our guide on selling your kamas sums up the precautions.
Frequently asked questions
What are the Dofus Retro servers in 2026?
Three permanent servers: Fallanster and Allisteria, which allow multi-accounting, and Boune, single-account. Seasonal servers open on top of them for a limited time.
Do Dofus Retro kamas work on Dofus 3?
No. Dofus Retro and Dofus 3 are two games with separate economies. No kamas transfer is possible between them.
What is a seasonal server on Dofus Retro?
A temporary server where every player starts from scratch, with slightly different rules and season-only items such as scales. It stays open for a few months.
Can I transfer kamas from Allisteria to Fallanster?
Not directly. Each server has its own currency. Only a trade between players lets you get kamas on another server in exchange for yours.
Where did my Eratz or Crail character go?
Eratz and Henual were merged into Fallanster, Crail and Galgarion into Allisteria. Your character is on the server born from the merge.
How to make kamas fast on Dofus Retro?
Selling gathered resources and loot remains the safest method. On a seasonal server that has just opened, the first resources sell particularly high.
