The price of Dofus kamas, server by server

There is no such thing as the price of kamas, only a price per server and per moment. The table below shows what sellers are actually asking right now — not an average copied from somewhere else.

Why the price varies so much between servers

Each server is a closed economy: kamas from one server cannot be spent on another. Supply and demand therefore form separately, and nothing brings them together.

A recent server has few kamas in circulation and many players looking for them: the price goes up. An old server has been accumulating kamas for years, the currency is more abundant, and a million trades for less. It is the same mechanism as inflation, sped up.

Updates add to this. An expansion that introduces sought-after items sets off a wave of buying, and the price follows within the week.

How to read a displayed price

A price is always read per million — that is the unit of comparison. Be wary of a listing that shows a total without stating the quantity: it is the simplest way to make an offer impossible to compare.

The payment method matters too. A seller who accepts PayPal bears fees that a seller taking bank transfers does not, and that shows up in their price. Comparing two listings paid for differently means comparing two different things.

  • The price per million, never the total price.
  • The payment method, which moves the price by a few cents.
  • The stock available: a very small stock at the lowest price is not an offer, it is bait.
  • The seller’s review count, which is often worth the few cents of difference.

The lowest price is rarely the best one

In this market, the gap between the cheapest offer and the median rarely exceeds ten or fifteen per cent. On an ordinary purchase that is very little — far less than a delivery that never arrives.

A price well below the others raises a simple question: why is this seller accepting less than everyone else? Sometimes because they are clearing stock. Sometimes because they have no intention of delivering. On KamasTrade, the number of completed transactions and the completion rate are public and computed, not declared: that is where to look before deciding on a few cents.

Frequently asked questions

How much does 1 million Dofus kamas cost?

It depends on the server and the day. The table on this page shows the lowest price currently offered on each server, read directly from the live listings. An old server is generally cheaper than a recent one, sometimes by half.

Does the price of kamas rise over time?

On a given server it tends to fall: the quantity of kamas in circulation only ever grows, year after year. Rises are occasional and usually follow an update that creates sudden demand.

Why do prices differ between Dofus, Retro and Touch?

They are three separate games, each with its own servers and its own economy. Kamas from one are worthless in another, and there is no reason for their prices to resemble each other.
