Mounts in Dofus: Dragoturkeys, Seemyools, Rhineetles and how to get one
5 min read
In Dofus, a mount is ridden and equipped like an item: it speeds up your travel and adds bonuses to your character. There are three families of breedable mounts, Dragoturkeys, Seemyools and Rhineetles, obtained through capture, breeding or buying from other players.

What is a mount for?
A mount has two roles. It makes you travel faster across the map, which is a huge help when you chain quests and gathering. And it gives stat bonuses, like a full piece of equipment.
Since the breeding overhaul, a mount is no longer stored in a certificate: it is an item you equip directly. Energy and tiredness are gone too, so you no longer have to feed it to keep riding.
Its bonuses grow with its level, from 1 to 200. Each family has a bonus shared by all its mounts: Vitality for Dragoturkeys, one MP for Seemyools and one AP for Rhineetles. The colour adds its own stats. Bonuses grow much more slowly after level 100.
Dragoturkeys, Seemyools, Rhineetles: the differences
All three families are captured, raised and bred with exactly the same rules. What sets them apart is their bonuses, their look and where they live in the wild. Their colours are split into generations: the higher the generation, the rarer the mount.
| Family | Usual strength | Extraction resource | Wild area |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dragoturkey | Vitality, plus the colour bonus | Neurons | Koalak Mountain |
| Seemyool | 1 MP from level 100, plus the colour bonus | Amber | Seemyool basin, north of Sufokia |
| Rhineetle | 1 AP from level 100, plus the colour bonus | Horns | Brakmar stud farm |
Tip : Before buying, read the mount’s details: level, exact bonuses and special abilities. Two mounts of the same colour are not necessarily worth the same depending on their level.
Dragoturkeys
The Dragoturkey is the historic Dofus mount. Its colours range from the basic generation 1 shades (Almond, Ginger and Golden) up to generation 10, and each colour gives a different set of bonuses.
Wild Dragoturkeys live in the Koalak Mountain. If you are new to breeding, start with the simpler colours.
Seemyools and Rhineetles
The Seemyool is captured in the Seemyool basin, north of Sufokia (reachable by boat, among other ways). Every mount of this family gives one MP from level 100, which makes it a common pick when your gear is one movement point short. Extracting it gives amber.
The Rhineetle lives in the Brakmar stud farm, south of the city. All its variants give one AP from level 100, a bonus much sought after to complete a build. Extracting it gives horns.
The breeding update also added new looks for all three families and their harnesses, so you can customise your mount without touching its bonuses.
Watch out : A mount’s exact bonuses depend on its family, colour and level. Always check the values shown in game before building your gear around a mount’s AP or MP.
How to get your first mount
You have three options, depending on your time and budget.
- 1Capture: equip a capture net in your combat consumables and fight a wild mount. The capture spell is granted during the fight; win it to keep the mount.
- 2Breeding: with the breeding profession, make your mounts fertile in the breeders’ village paddocks, then breed them to get better colours.
- 3Buying: the breeders’ village has a marketplace dedicated to creatures, and other players sell mounts that are already levelled.
Tip : Each capture also levels the breeding profession: even if you only want one mount, catching a small starter stock will pay off later.
Mount or petsmount?
Do not confuse mounts with petsmounts. A petsmount is a pet you ride: it also speeds up travel and levels up by eating resources, like a pet, but it cannot be bred. Some are purely cosmetic. Like pets, it requires a subscription to be equipped. Everything is covered in our pets guide.
A breeding mount, on the other hand, keeps evolving: you level it, you can breed it, clone it with another sterile mount or extract it for crafting resources. It is an investment that holds its value.
Choosing and levelling your mount
For a first mount, keep it simple: an easy-to-find mount that you level in a paddock with the feeder. Rare colours will come with breeding, covered in our breeding guide.
A high-level mount costs a lot of time and kamas. If you would rather buy, keep an eye on kamas prices on your server to know what you are really spending.
- Mounts owned before update 3.5 became senile: they can still be equipped and levelled, but they cannot be mated or cloned, and extracting them gives only one resource.
- The Chameleon ability, given by a Kromakina at birth, matches the mount’s colours to your character.
- Extraction resources are used in many equipment recipes.
Tip : Don’t want to spend weeks in paddocks? On KamasTrade, players offer ready-to-ride mounts and breeding packs.
Frequently asked questions
How do you get a mount in Dofus 3?
Capture a wild mount with a capture net equipped in your combat consumables, breed one with the breeding profession, or buy one at the creature marketplace or from another player.
What is the difference between Dragoturkey, Seemyool and Rhineetle?
They are bred the same way. They differ in their shared bonus, their look and their capture area: the Dragoturkey gives Vitality, the Seemyool one MP and the Rhineetle one AP (from level 100), on top of each colour’s own bonus.

Level 200 since the breeding overhaul. Bonuses grow with level, but progress slows down noticeably after level 100.
